Ourense is a city of stone and water. From its eight bridges that cross the river Miño to its cathedral, one of the greatest Roman monuments, full of history. But not a story like the one studied in books. But a dynamic story that we must see and live. But in addition to water and stone, Ourense also highlights its wines. The Ribeiro Designation of Origin is the oldest in Galicia and one of the most historic in Europe. Few areas in Europe have the history and cultural heritage of the Ribeiro, which has been a commercial and wine making phenomenon for more than 1000 years.
Day 1. Arrival at the accommodation in Ourense
Upon arrival at the accommodation we will check-in and we will get ready to discover Galician culture and gastronomy. This day we will take it as free time to unpack our luggage, walk quietly and relax at the hotel to have strength and be well rested for the next day with more walking involved.
Day 2. Visit the winery, Free afternoon, Gastronomic Dinner
After breakfast at our accommodation, we will visit a D.O. Ribeiro, accompanied by a wine tasting. There is the option of extending this visit to the winery with a tasting of seasonal gastronomic products paired with its wines. In the event that the schedule does not allow it or if the client wishes, there is the possibility of modifying the appointment of this visit for the third day after breakfast. Everything at your convenience.
After the visit we will have the afternoon free to know "The Great Forgotten". We will be able to walk next to the Miño, counting all its bridges, from the arches of the Puente Mayor to the lines of the Millennium Bridge, visit the cathedral whose polychrome has earned it the title of Pórtico del Paraíso, stroll through the Old Town and its main square the which has an unusually sloping floor or go out on the wine street. To finish it will be necessary to go to the Alameda park and later visit the Church of Santa Eufemia.
Once our tour is over, we will enjoy an essential dinner menu to savor the essence of the region. It is striking how despite being an inland province its octopus has a considerable fame. The lamprey and eels from the Miño River are also well known, as well as their veal. Empanadas, breads and vegetables such as turnip greens or cabbagegive this city a very varied and extensive gastronomy. The client will carry out a tasting of different products, all of them from the area, in a selected place.
Day 3. Breakfast, end of services
This is the last day of our getaway. We will get up after enjoying the hotel's comforts and have a leisurely breakfast. We will check-out but depending on the time we have, we can still take advantage of the morning discovering the surroundings such as the city of Ribadavia, about 20 minutes by car, one of the largest medieval fortresses in Galicia.
Then we can end our getaway.

HOW TO FORMALIZE YOUR RESERVATION
For a better management by our travel agency, it is advisable to make the reservation at least 15 days in advance. However, if it were less in advance, it would also be doable, but it is always advisable to do it with more time.
To formalize the reservation, they must make a payment of € 30 as a deposit and management expenses per person.
Once your reservation is formalized, our team will contact you as soon as possible to specify all the necessary details to process your reservation.
Once the reservation is completed, all the information will be sent to you for your approval.
Once all services have been confirmed, 15 days before the start of the same, the client must pay the rest of the reservation payment, that is, the total amount of the reservation amount, subtracting the previously paid deposit.
If the reservation is formalized less than 15 days before the start, the client must pay the total amount (€ 165 / person).
In case you wish to cancel this reservation, you will not incur any type of cancellation expense if you do so 7 days before the start of the trip, reimbursing the amounts you have paid.
