O Grove and Toja Island have a lot to offer at any time of the year. Especially if you are looking for relaxation and disconnection. In the warmer months we can take advantage of its beaches and small coves that offer us the best of the waters of the estuary along with the advantages of being in a crowd-free environment.

However, any time of the year is good for what is perhaps O Grove's most important and main attraction, its seafood and fish offerings. A good example of this is the acclaimed Seafood Festival in October and the "Centollo" Exaltation Days in December.

Also countless walks through beaches, mountains and cliffs always with a salty aroma in the lungs.

O Grove also has cultural attractions such as the hermitage of the island of La Toja, one of the most unique in all of Galicia covered with scallop shells, which is located in the center of the island.

A visit full of possibilities for all tastes.

Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival at the accommodation in O Grove

Upon arrival at the accommodation we will check in and get ready to enjoy a few days of rest, culture and Galician cuisine.

If the schedule and our energy allow us, we can go for a walk around the city and visit monumental places such as the hermitage of the island of La Toja, or historical places such as the Castro do Adro Vello.

In case the time is shorter we can simply relax in the hotel,to be as rested as possible for the next day.

Day 2. Breakfast. Seafood. Free afternoon

After breakfast, we will head to visit O Grove. We can't miss the wooden promenade of Pedras Negras or the hermitage of La Lanzada, from the 17th century. Next to it is the Castro de la Lanzada where the excavated remains of an ancient necropolis are found. It is also very interesting, especially for children, The Village of the Grobits. This small village is hidden in the middle of Mount Isla da Toja, a small and original playground that recreates Hobbiton, the home of the Hobbits.

Once ready, we will enjoy a seafood menu to taste the essence of the region.

The gastronomy that we will find focuses on products that come directly from its estuaries. Lobster, crayfish, cockle, scallop, razor clam, prawns, prawns, sea ox… everything you can imagine freshly taken from its waters, and marinated by its wines designation of origin. The customer can enjoy a splendid seafood tasting different products, all of them from the area, in a selected place. In case of intolerance or simply if the customer's tastes do not accompany, an alternative menu could be set up, all according to your convenience.

After this experience and well rested we will have the afternoon free to taste what we liked best or strolling around the peninsula.

Day 3.Breakfast, end of services or Optional: Mussel route

This is the last day of our getaway (if the client chooses).

We will get up after enjoying the hotel's comforts and have a leisurely breakfast. We will check-out and we can end our getaway if the client has chosen the basic getaway.

If we have chosen to extend it one more day, we will have one more experience, where we will do a route through the rafts of the Ría.

After breakfast we will tour the beautiful landscapes from the waters of Arousa in one of the catamarans that dock at the pier of O Grove.

This guided tour shows its coasts, islands and its unique rafts, parks of mussel, oyster and scallop crops.

We will know different forms of traditional fishing in the area, through these floating platforms and underwater view of the seabed of the estuary. We will end with an abundant tasting of steamed mussels and wine from the area or a soft drink.

Once the route is finished we can end the day discovering the surroundings and discover some of its viewpoints such as Siradella.

Then we will return to the hotel to spend our last night.

Day 4. Breakfast, end of services

This last day we will get up and have breakfast at the hotel. We will carry out theCheck-Outand we will be able to end our getaway.
