Itinerary
  • Day 1. Arrival in Santiago de Compostela and Guided Tour

Arrival at your car on your own at the Lavacolla airport or Santiago train station, where you will pick up the assigned vehicle.

This day will be dedicated to checking into your hotel and getting as much rest as possible after your arrival journey.

Depending on your arrival time in Santiago, you will enjoy a guided tour of the city, visiting the most iconic monuments of this beautiful city, the capital of Galicia.

Once the sightseeing tour is finished, you will have the rest of the day free to continue exploring and enjoy its wonderful old town and gastronomy.

  • Day 2. Free excursion to the Costa da Morte

Breakfast at the hotel. The second day of your experience begins with our recommended itinerary, but at your own pace in the assigned vehicle. The Costa da Morte. The suggested route is as follows:

Muxía:

Visit this village where you will see one of the most traditional maritime sanctuaries in Galicia, Nosa Señora da Barca, located in a spectacular setting by the sea. According to tradition, this is the place where the Virgin appeared to the Apostle Santiago.

Finisterre:

The ancient end of the world. A place where pilgrims coming to Compostela meet the vastness of the ocean. We recommend a stop at the lighthouse, the most important on the Costa da Morte, guiding ships through its dangerous waters.

Ézaro:

You can't miss the spectacular waterfall of the Xallas River, which flows through Ézaro and ends up cascading into the sea, a unique phenomenon in Europe.

Muros:

Visit the old town and the port of this fishing village, reflecting the culture and tradition of Galicia, where the sea is the protagonist. Its houses with arcades and galleries, as well as its picturesque atmosphere, stand out. It offers a wide range of gastronomy, making it a great place to eat and get to know the village.

Once this full day is finished, return to Santiago de Compostela.

Accommodation in Santiago de Compostela.

  • Day 3. Ría de Arousa - O Grove - La Toja

Breakfast at the hotel. The third day begins. Today, we leave Santiago de Compostela and head to the Rías Baixas.

We will visit Ría de Arousa, O Grove, La Toja, and the Playa de la Lanzada; additionally, we will enjoy the beautiful sunset at the Ermita de La Lanzada. We will end the day by staying in Sanxenxo.

First, we will head to the Ría de Arousa, the largest ria in Galicia. Beautiful in winter and in full bloom in summer, this is one of those areas in the community that, once you know it, you always end up coming back to, such is the effect it has on visitors with its landscape, environment, people, and gastronomy. Once in the area, we recommend visiting Cambados with its excellent Historic-Artistic Ensemble, as well as the Illa de Arousa, with its spectacular beaches.

We will leave the Illa de Arousa to visit O-Grove and explore its port located on Beiramar Avenue. It's a great place to eat, as this town has many seafood restaurants. We recommend that seafood lovers not miss the chance to enjoy a wonderful meal here.

We will cross a 19th-century bridge that will lead us to La Illa da Toxa (Isla de la Toja). Located in an area classified as Red Natura 2000, it is famous for its soap production and thermal waters. It has a small museum dedicated to the old factory and a chapel, completely covered with scallop shells.

From here, we will head to the Playa de la Lanzada, which faces the open sea, stretching for 2,500 meters. It is considered one of the most emblematic beaches in Galicia and one of the best for its fine sand and clear waters. It is surrounded by a large dune area, separating it from the road along the coast. Among these dunes, a pleasant wooden walkway runs parallel to the beach along nearly its entire length.

Near the Playa de la Lanzada, you will find the Ermita de la Lanzada, a great spot to relax and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

We will head to the selected hotel in Sanxenxo to rest after a wonderful day.

  • Day 4. Free day in Sanxenxo

Breakfast at the hotel. A free day to enjoy Sanxenxo, a beautiful coastal town where you can enjoy its beach and marina.

Close to Sanxenxo is Combarro, which we recommend visiting. This beautiful fishing village on the shore of the Ría de Pontevedra is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. Built on a giant rock and dotted with hórreos, fisherman houses, and cruceiros, it offers a trip back in time through alleys, squares, and an area of high ecological value.

  • Day 5. Guided tour in Pontevedra

Breakfast at the hotel in Sanxenxo. Today we will leave Sanxenxo and head to Pontevedra.

Pontevedra, whose name comes from Latin and means "old bridge", is one of the jewels of the Portuguese Camino Santiago. It is believed to have been founded by one of the heroes of the Trojan War after being exiled by his father.

So far, archaeological remains do not show any occupation of the area until the arrival of the Roman Empire. It is estimated that its foundation occurred during the conquest of "Gallaecia" (Galicia), and this is confirmed by a pillar in the southern head of the Puente del Burgo as a tribute to the emperor Hadrian in the year 137.

You will enjoy a guided tour to visit the most iconic monuments of this beautiful city.

Once the sightseeing tour is finished, you will have the rest of the day free to continue exploring and enjoy its marvelous old town and gastronomy.

Accommodation in Pontevedra.

  • Day 6. Vigo - Cíes Islands

Breakfast at the hotel in Pontevedra.

Today we will visit the great port city of the Galician coast, Vigo. In the old town of the city, you will find the Vigo Cathedral, built in the neoclassical style. The archaeological site of the Castro de Vigo features reconstructed ancient houses.

We will head to the marina at the time indicated in your reservation to take a ferry to the Cíes Islands, part of the National Park of the Atlantic Islands. This is a unique ecosystem where you can find exceptional flora, and some beaches, like Rodas Beach, have been declared among the best in the world due to their paradisiacal characteristics. There are also two restaurants where you can eat, and it is recommended to make a reservation before arrival.

After this wonderful day, we will return to Pontevedra to rest.

  • Day 7. Breakfast and end of services
