Itinerary
  • Day 1: Origin – Santiago de Compostela

On the first day, our driver will pick you up at the airport or train station, and we will head to the designated accommodation in Santiago de Compostela, which will be your place of rest for three nights.

After the check-in at the hotel, we will have the afternoon free to rest as needed from the trip or to enjoy the city at our own pace.

  • Day 2: Guided Tour in Santiago – Gastronomic Tasting

After enjoying a typical Galician breakfast at our hotel, we will head out to visit the city.

We will tour the city in a guided tour. We will see various places in the city declared a World Heritage Site, such as its Cathedral, entering through the Portico de la Gloria, Plaza de Platerías, Plaza del Obradoiro, or the Parador Reyes Católicos.

Once our walk is finished, we will enjoy a gastronomic tasting featuring different local products to taste and better understand the region's cuisine.

After lunch and a good rest, we will have the afternoon free to admire what we liked most about the city or to walk freely.

Once this gastronomic and cultural experience is over, we will have dinner and conclude this beautiful day at the hotel.

  • Day 3: Finisterre – Langosteira Beach

We will have breakfast at the hotel to prepare for the approximately 10-hour excursion ahead. Our driver will pick us up at the agreed time, and today the destination will be The Costa da Morte, where pilgrims who come to Compostela meet the vastness of the ocean.

First, we will stop in Muxía. We will start in this town to visit one of the most traditional maritime sanctuaries in Galicia, "Nosa Señora da Barca", located in a spectacular spot by the sea. It is believed that the Virgin appeared to the apostle Santiago here.

Next, we will head to Finisterre, the end of the ancient world. A place where pilgrims coming to Compostela meet the immensity of the ocean. We will stop at the lighthouse, the most important on the Costa da Morte, guiding ships through its dangerous waters.

We will then reach Ézaro to visit the spectacular Xallas River waterfall, which runs through Ézaro before flowing into the sea, the only such case in Europe.

We will continue to Muros, a beautiful fishing village with interesting beaches like Area Maior, almost free of buildings, with the Louro Mountain in the background. We will visit its harbor and fish market before heading to Noia.

Finally, in Noia, we will visit the Parish of San Martín de Noia and the Constitution Square. This town specializes in shellfish, particularly cockles and clams. It is a great place to take a break and taste its gastronomy.

After finishing our full-day excursion, we will return to the accommodation to enjoy our last night of rest in Santiago de Compostela.

  • Day 4: Ría de Arousa – O Grove – La Toja – Sanxenxo

After breakfast and check-out from the hotel in Santiago, our driver will pick us up to begin this magnificent day in the Rías Baixas.

Ría de Arousa

Our first destination will be the Ría de Arousa. Before reaching Vilagarcía, it is worth stopping at the Pazo de Baión, the former residence of drug lord Laureano Oubiña, and the Pazo de Rubiáns, near Vilagarcía de Arousa, which features not only a very interesting French-style building but also its gardens, vineyards, and wineries where we can taste albariño wine and some cheese. After this visit, we can head directly to Vilagarcía, which is full of charm with its beaches, pazos, and harbor. In the city, we can take a walk to see the Augustinian nuns' convent and the Pazo de Vista Alegre, which cannot be visited inside, but its exterior perfectly reflects the typical civil architecture of Galicia.

It is not the only pazo in the area; you can also visit the Pazo de O Rial, Pazo do Castriño, and Pazo da Golpelleira, which today are repurposed as hotels or event venues like weddings.

O Grove and La Toja

Before reaching O Grove and La Toja, you will see the beautiful Lanzada Beach and may be tempted to touch its incredibly high-quality sand. These two locations are separated by the Toja Bridge. This area is idyllic and perfect for strolling along its beaches, forest park, and enjoying the seaside views. Depending on the time, it could be a great spot to sample its gastronomy in various restaurants, shellfish restaurants, or tapas bars.

Sanxenxo

You can enjoy its numerous beaches, viewpoints, and marinas. It is also a good place for tapas or meals in its bars, restaurants, and inns while strolling along its maritime harbor and beach.

Once the tour is over, we will arrive at our hotel in Sanxenxo for check-in and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

  • Day 5: Poio Monastery – Pontevedra

After breakfast at our accommodation, our driver will join us for a new full-day excursion, including two destinations:

Poio Monastery

Our first stop will be the Convent of San Xoán de Poio, declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1970. It is one of the most important examples of architecture in the region, both for its age and excellent state of preservation, as well as its artistic value. We will make a quick stop for an exterior visit.

Pontevedra Guided Tour (2-3 hours)

The city takes its name from the Latin "old bridge" and is an important stop on the Portuguese Way of St. James. We will enjoy a Guided Tour of Pontevedra where we will visit its old town, filled with chapels, squares, convents, ruins, and interesting museums. It is a city that invites you to walk peacefully and enjoy its landscapes and atmosphere.

We will visit the Pazo de Mugartegui, a baroque building with carved stone from the city's stonemasons. A remarkable feature is the large noble coat of arms visible on its facade. You can also visit an abandoned pazo with incredible gardens like the Pazo de Lourizán, an amazing French Romantic-style pazo.

Once finished, we will return to our hotel in Sanxenxo and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

  • Day 6: Cíes Islands

Breakfast at your accommodation, where our driver will be waiting for this magnificent day.

Depending on the date, we may start our full-day excursion from Sanxenxo or from the city of Vigo.

The Cíes Islands are part of the Atlantic Islands National Park and are known for their paradisiacal beauty, with a perfect balance between tourism and ecosystem preservation. They feature some of the best beaches in Europe and the world, such as the spectacular Rodas Beach.

There are two restaurants where you can eat; we recommend making a reservation in advance.

The return to the embarkation point may vary. Depending on the return schedule from the islands, we will have time to enjoy either Vigo or Sanxenxo.

Finally, we will return to the hotel in Sanxenxo for a well-deserved rest.

  • Day 7: Breakfast and journey to the airport

After breakfast, we will check-out from the hotel and, according to the departure time of your flight or train, our driver will take you to the departure point, either the airport or the train station closest to the end of the tour.

We wish you a pleasant return and hope that these days in Galicia have left unforgettable memories.
