Itinerary
  • Day 1: Departure – Oviedo

On the first day, our chauffeur will pick you up at the airport, train, or bus station in Oviedo, and we will head to the designated accommodation in the city.

We will check in at the hotel and get ready to explore the city. Oviedo invites you for a relaxing walk to admire its streets, buildings, and markets. We will enjoy a guided tour of the city.

Key places to highlight include:

  1. The Cathedral of Oviedo, with its treasures such as the Victory Cross, the Box of Agates, and the Angels' Cross.
  2. The Church of Santa María del Naranco and its surroundings on Monte Naranco.
  3. San Miguel de Lillo, the Basilica of San Juan el Real, or the Campo San Francisco, where you can find statues of popular characters like Mafalda or Woody Allen strolling through the area.

  • Day 2: Oviedo – Cangas de Onís – Covadonga

Our second day will be dedicated to exploring Covadonga first, followed by visits to Cangas de Onís and Ponga.

We will have breakfast at the hotel, and once ready, our chauffeur will be waiting to head to Covadonga.

Located in the northern part of the Picos de Europa, this valley is nestled among high mountains. According to tradition, it was the starting point of the Reconquista, led by Pelayo against Muslim incursions on these slopes.

The Virgin of Covadonga resides in the Holy Cave, where legend says Don Pelayo took refuge. Inside the cave, there is a small chapel and an impressive waterfall that cascades directly into a large pool.

At the top of the hill is the Shrine of Covadonga, built with remarkable reddish stone that stands out against the green landscape. Undoubtedly, it is a must-see during this journey.

We also have the option to ascend to the Entrelagos Viewpoint, offering stunning views of the Lakes of Covadonga, a place of unparalleled beauty.

Once the visit is complete, our chauffeur will drive us to the village of Cangas de Onís. Its most iconic feature is the Roman Bridge with the hanging Victory Cross, one of the most emblematic images of Asturias. The village is located within the Picos de Europa National Park, a perfect spot to enjoy its mountains and forests.

  • Day 3: Oviedo – Gijón

We will have breakfast in Oviedo and then check out. Our chauffeur will take us to Gijón, a city located a short distance away.

Once we arrive, we will check in at our accommodation in Gijón and start with a guided tour of the city. One of the most enjoyable places in Gijón is its seafront promenade. We will walk along its beaches and parks and explore the Cimadevilla district, where we will find the famous sculpture Praise of the Horizon, a work by the sculptor Eduardo Chillida.

While walking along the promenade, we will enjoy a charming view of the Church of Saint Peter Apostle, and, if desired, we can visit the Campo Valdés Roman Baths from the 1st century, located near the church.

As we explore the alleys of the district, we will reach the Mayor Beach of Gijón. If time allows, we can venture to the outskirts to see the Monument to the Mother of the Emigrant at El Rinconín and enjoy its coves.

  • Day 4: Lastres – Mirador del Fitu – Ribadesella – Bufones de Pría – Llanes – Gijón

We will have breakfast at the Gijón hotel, and our chauffeur will take us to discover some of the most charming villages along the Asturian coast.

We will start in Lastres, a fishing village known for its spectacular views. Next, we will head to the Mirador del Fitu, where we can enjoy a unique panorama, with recreational areas and picnic tables to relax.

Then, we will visit Ribadesella, famous for the Tito Bustillo Cave with its prehistoric paintings and the Cuevona of Cuevas del Agua, a natural tunnel that you can drive through.

Afterwards, we will explore the Bufones de Pría, a natural phenomenon where sea waves crash into rocky chimneys, creating impressive geysers.

Our journey continues to Llanes, passing by the Gulpiyuri Beach, a hidden beach between cliffs and declared a Natural Monument. In Llanes, we will visit the San Pedro Walk, offering views of the cliffs, and the Llanes lighthouse. We will also admire the Cubes of Memory and the Toró Beach, famous for its beauty.

Finally, we will return to Gijón, where we will spend the last night of this tour.

  • Day 5: Gijón – Avilés – Cudillero – Luarca – Ribadeo

We will have breakfast in Gijón, and after checking out, we will head to Avilés for a guided tour. Avilés is a city with a vibrant cultural life, featuring literature, music, theatre, cinema, and painting. Highlights include the House of Culture, the Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Centre, and the Palacio Valdés Theatre, which hosts important artistic performances.

After the visit, we can choose to have lunch in Avilés or move to Cudillero, one of the most picturesque villages in Asturias. Cudillero is famous for its unique location between the sea and mountains, with colourful houses arranged in a beautiful natural amphitheatre around San Pedro Square.

After visiting Cudillero, we will head to Ribadeo. On the way, if desired, we can make a brief stop in Luarca, a charming coastal village. Upon arriving in Ribadeo, we will check in at the accommodation.

Ribadeo, on the border between Asturias and Galicia, is known for its medieval remnants and modernist buildings. We can stroll around the city, visiting the San Damián Fort, the panoramic lift, the nautical club, and Plaza España, home to the Torre dos Morenos and other notable buildings.

  • Day 6: Ribadeo – Beach of the Cathedrals – Ferrol – Pontedeume – Betanzos – A Coruña

After having breakfast in Ribadeo and checking out, our chauffeur will take us to the Beach of the Cathedrals. This beach is famous for its impressive rock formations, sculpted by sea erosion, creating caves and natural arches. At low tide, it reveals white sand corridors and water pools, forming a spectacular landscape among the cliffs. Please note that visiting the beach requires prior booking.

Once the visit is complete, we will continue to Ferrol, followed by Pontedeume and Betanzos. Our final stop of the day will be A Coruña, where we will check in at the accommodation.

  • Day 7: A Coruña

We will have breakfast at the hotel and prepare to start our guided tour of the city's most iconic landmarks.

The tour will begin at the Tower of Hercules, a majestic Roman lighthouse offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. We will enjoy its natural surroundings, stroll through its sculpture park, and admire the landscape around it.

Next, we will head to Maria Pita Square, where the iconic City Hall is located, one of the city's most representative buildings. Afterwards, we will explore the old town, a charming area filled with history, where we will discover places like the Romantic Garden of San Carlos, the Castle of San Antón, the Collegiate Church of Santa María del Campo, and the Plaza de las Bárbaras.

If time allows, we will enjoy a final stroll along the maritime port and its markets. We can also savour the exquisite Atlantic coast cuisine, famous for its fresh seafood and traditional dishes.
