Allariz, located between Ourense and Xinzo de Limia, and very close to Ribadavia and the Sil Canyon, is a village declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1971. With perfectly restored medieval charm, it received the prestigious European Urbanism Award for its careful conservation.
Allariz is a place full of history, where every corner has a story to tell. Its name comes from a Suevic settlement led by Alaric. During the 11th century, the construction of its fortress and walls earned it the title of "The Keys of the Kingdom" due to its strategic importance.
Among its most prominent monuments are:
- The Church of Santa María, next to the Roman bridge, built by the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem to protect the passage between Galicia and Castile.
- The Convent of Santa Clara, featuring the largest Baroque cloister in Spain (although inaccessible as it is a cloistered convent).
- The Jewish quarter, the stately homes, and several Romanesque churches that have withstood the test of time.
- Remains of the walls and the fortress, which once safeguarded the town.
Additionally, Allariz is the birthplace of legends such as that of Santa Mariña or the sinister tale of the Sacamantecas, known as the werewolf.
But it’s not just its medieval streets that exude romance. The natural surroundings of Allariz add even more magic. Along the banks of the Arnoia River, you'll find a beautiful riverside walk that culminates at its imposing Roman bridge, a witness to countless unforgettable moments.
- Day 1: Arrival at the accommodation in Allariz
Upon arrival at the selected establishment in Allariz, we will proceed with the Check-In.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a bottle of cava, fruit, and sweets in your room to make your arrival even more special.
This day will be dedicated to settling in and enjoying a peaceful stroll through the picturesque town. You can visit Romanesque churches such as the Church of Santa María, the Roman bridge, the walls and fortress, the Convent of Santa Clara, the Jewish quarter, and several stately homes. However, one of the town's greatest charms is the romantic riverside promenade, ideal for a relaxed walk.
We will end the day resting at the hotel to be fully prepared for the next day of exploration.

- Day 2: Guided tour of the Viña Costeira winery and Spa Circuit
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Viña Costeira, a winery with something very special. This winery has dedicated its efforts to recovering some of the historic grape varieties of Galicia, such as Loureira, Godello, Albariño, and Treixadura, among others.
At Viña Costeira, passion for work, growth, and vision have combined to make it one of the best wineries in Spain. The winery tour will include a visit to the vineyards, where the various grape varieties that shape the Ribeiro’s personality will be explained.
With this visit, you will learn to distinguish the characteristics of the different grape varieties and gain a deep understanding of the winemaking process. The tour will culminate with a wine tasting of four selected wines.
We suggest making a stop for lunch in Ribadavia, another of the charming places in the region, or returning to Allariz for lunch according to your tastes and preferences.
In the afternoon, upon returning to the hotel, you can enjoy the Spa Circuit, an excellent wellness treatment to relax and recharge. We will finish the day with a romantic evening at the hotel.
We will spend the night at the hotel, enjoying the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
- Day 3: Buffet breakfast and end of services
After our second night in Allariz, we will enjoy another magnificent buffet breakfast. Then, we will proceed with the Check-Out, marking the end of this romantic getaway, which will remain in your memory as one of those experiences truly worth repeating.

How to formalise your booking
For better management by our travel agency, we recommend making your booking at least 15 days in advance. However, if the booking is made within a shorter timeframe, we will still process it, although it is always advisable to book in advance.
To formalise your booking, a payment of €30 per person is required as a deposit and administrative fee.
Once the booking is formalised, our team will contact you as soon as possible to confirm all the details.
After formalising the booking, we will send you all the related information for your review and confirmation.
When all services are confirmed, and 15 days before the start of the trip, the client must pay the remaining balance of the booking, which corresponds to the total price of the trip minus the deposit already paid.
If the booking is made less than 15 days in advance of the start of the trip, the client must pay the full amount of the trip at the time of booking.
Free cancellation up to 7 days before
If you wish to cancel your booking, no cancellation fees will be applied as long as it is done 7 days before the start of the trip. In this case, any amounts already paid will be fully refunded.
