The Ribeira Sacra: Relaxation, Thermal Baths, and Unforgettable Landscapes

Discover a unique destination with extraordinary landscapes, where the Sil and Miño rivers carve through mountains to create a spectacular environment in the Ribeira Sacra.

Unwind for 2 days with thermal circuits at the hotel, with the option to enjoy a third natural thermal bath at the famous Outariz hot springs.

The Ribeira Sacra is renowned for hosting the highest concentration of Romanesque religious buildings in Europe. During your getaway, you can stop at key viewpoints of the Sil River, where you'll marvel at unforgettable views of ancient vineyards, hidden monasteries, and dazzling waterfalls.

The Sil canyons feature cliffs that drop up to 500 metres in some areas, with slopes exceeding 70%. These cliffs are home to vineyards of the Ribeira Sacra Designation of Origin, celebrated for their heroic winemaking. The region produces approximately 60 million bottles annually, primarily red wine.

The Ribeira Sacra D.O. is famous for its uniqueness: the demanding labour on steep slopes. Since the days of the Roman Empire, this wine has been highly valued. Today, you can savour a glass while cruising the Sil canyons on a catamaran, enjoying a truly unique experience.

Itinerary
  • Day 1: Arrival at the Spa Hotel in Ribeira Sacra. Thermal Circuit

Upon arrival at the Spa Hotel in Ribeira Sacra, we will check in and prepare to enjoy a day dedicated to relaxation and wellness.

The first day will be devoted to unwinding from the journey and relaxing in the hotel's thermal circuit. This circuit includes a thermal pool with various types of hydro-massage jets, waterfalls, swan neck showers, oxygenation beds, ice fountain, counter-current pool, hydro-massage bathtub, outdoor pool, dry sauna, and steam sauna.

If desired, the itinerary can be modified or additional services added. For example, the hotel offers a golf course, ideal for sports enthusiasts.

After this thermal experience, we will enjoy a well-deserved rest.

  • Day 2: Visit to Ribeira Sacra, Sil River Catamaran, and Thermal Circuit

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will start the second day exploring Ribeira Sacra, a land defined by the Sil and Miño rivers, which carve through the mountains, creating a spectacular landscape.

We will head to the Monastery of San Esteban de Ribas de Sil, founded before the 10th century and now owned by Paradores de Turismo, which can be visited free of charge.

Next, we will enjoy a catamaran tour through the Sil River canyons. During the trip, we will admire impressive waterfalls up to 500 metres high in some areas, as well as slopes exceeding 70%. Throughout the tour, we will observe the canyon walls that house centuries-old vineyards of the Ribeira Sacra Designation of Origin.

After the catamaran excursion, we will stop at the main viewpoints of the Sil River and some nearby monasteries to enjoy the beauty of the area, full of vineyards, hidden monasteries, and dazzling waterfalls.

We will have free time for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel for a new thermal circuit, where we can relax once more using the same thermal facilities: thermal pool, hydro-massage jets, waterfalls, and swan neck showers.

After this relaxing experience, a well-deserved rest awaits us.

  • Day 3: Breakfast and End of Services

This is the last day of our getaway.

We will wake up, enjoy the hotel's amenities, and have a leisurely breakfast. We will then proceed to check out, marking the end of our trip.

We wish you a pleasant journey home and hope you have enjoyed these days in Galicia.

Have a safe trip home!
